Wow this book is very inspiring and you will learn a lot from it. A must have book for everyone. If you are looking for a book that can help you develop your self and thinking, I am so sure this one will help you, like what it did to me. The author did an excellent job.
This is a good read with well developed characters. I enjoyed how the author has elegantly explained religious concepts through storytelling. Coming from a non-Jain background, the terminology and footnotes explaining each term was appreciated. Excellent read.
Prachi seems to have it all…newly married, highly educated, and lifetime employment in a successful family business. Yet, there is something missing deep inside her. In “The Highest Ignorance,” Sunil Gandhi expertly guides us through Prachi’s transformative journey to devotion to the Jain faith.
Unforgettable characters having deep contemplative conversations with our protagonist color the story. Gandhi develops the characters in such a real way that the book often feels like a biography, or of people I’ve actually met.
The book reads fast, but is rich in detail. Gandhi aids the readers with footnotes that explain the myriad of Jain teachings. This is the first piece of fiction that I’ve read that incorporates Jainism with a woman protagonist. I hope it's not the last, and I hope not the last novel from Gandhi.
